Stormwater & Drainage. Canberra + ACT.

Tank Overflow Has To Go Somewhere. We Make Sure It Goes The Right Way.

In the ACT, tank overflow has to be plumbed to stormwater, and new builds need on-site detention sorted before they pass inspection. We handle the trenching, pipework, and connection so the job is done to ACT requirements and your yard stays dry when it pours.

What We Do

Three Stormwater Jobs We Do Regularly.

Whether it's a simple overflow connection on a new tank install, a full OSD system for a development site, or a retro-fitted tie-in on an existing tank that was never properly connected, we scope it, price it, and get it done right.

Tank Overflow

Overflow Tie-In For New Or Existing Tanks

Every rainwater tank installation in the ACT needs its overflow plumbed to stormwater. We include this as standard with every tank we install. If you've got an existing tank that was never properly connected, or one that's been draining into the lawn for years, we can come out and fix it properly.

  • Overflow pipework from tank to stormwater
  • Trenching, pipework and reinstatement
  • Compatible with existing tank setups
  • Compliant with ACT install requirements

New Builds

On-Site Detention For New Builds

New residential and commercial builds in the ACT often require on-site detention to manage peak stormwater flows before discharge to the street or drainage network. We install the underground storage tanks and pipework that satisfy these DA conditions and pass inspection.

  • Underground detention tank supply and install
  • Inlet and outlet pipework to engineer's spec
  • Engineered tanks to AS1546.1
  • Designed to satisfy ACT DA stormwater conditions

Reno Sites

Stormwater Capture For Renovation Sites

Significant home extensions and renovations on ACT sites can trigger stormwater capture requirements. We install the capture tanks, overflow connections, and pipework to meet those requirements so your project completes without a stormwater hold-up at the final inspection.

  • Capture tank supply and install
  • Tie-in to roof and impervious surface drainage
  • Overflow to stormwater or reuse connection
  • Works alongside your builder's program

We come to your site, look at what's there, and work out exactly what connection is needed to meet ACT requirements. We flag anything we need from you before we start.

02

Written quote

Full scope in writing within 48 hours: trenching, pipework, tank (if required), connection, and reinstatement. No surprises.

03

Install day

We handle excavation, pipework, tank install where needed, and tie the system into the existing stormwater network or street drainage.

04

Handover

Site reinstated, system tested, and you get whatever documentation you need for your DA compliance or building file.

Common Questions

Questions We Hear A Lot.

Does my rainwater tank overflow have to be connected to stormwater in the ACT?

Yes. ACT install requirements specify that tank overflow must be directed to the stormwater drainage system, not discharged onto adjacent properties, the footpath, or the street. We include this connection as standard with every tank we install. If your existing tank isn't connected, call us on 0448 464 599 and we'll sort it out.

My new build DA has an OSD condition. Can you help?

Yes. On-site detention is a common DA condition for new builds in the ACT. We supply and install the underground detention tanks and pipework to meet your engineer's specifications and satisfy the condition at final inspection. Call us on 0448 464 599 with your DA conditions and we'll talk through what's involved.

My existing tank overflows onto the lawn. Is that a problem?

It's not compliant with ACT requirements and it can cause ongoing issues for your yard and your neighbour's. It's also something that comes up during property sales. We can assess the site and quote a proper overflow connection. Call us on 0448 464 599 and we'll come out and have a look.

Can you do stormwater work on its own, without a new tank?

Yes. Retro-fitting overflow plumbing on an existing tank, fixing a previously uncompleted stormwater tie-in, or installing OSD for a new build are all standalone jobs we take on. Call us on 0448 464 599 to tell us what your site needs.
